Tri-M Music Honor Society is open to all students in band, drama, or students that participate regularly in an out-of-school musical ensemble. Church choirs or bands, civic bands, or anyone taking private lessons qualify. You must be able to have a written letter of recommendation from the leader of that group. It must be approved by the NAFME organization. After this, your GPA will be checked, and teacher references will be asked for. After forms are signed, fees are paid, you would be inducted into the Tri-M with a simple ceremony. We attempt to take one field trip each year. The senior year, pink honor cords are issued and can be worn at graduation. We only issue 2 invitations to join. After that, you are ineligible to join. First year and senior fees are $22.00 a year and other years are $14.00. If you are interested, please contact Connie Wilkes, Band Director, Jay High School.
