The Student Government Association is the government of the school and consists of elected class officers and senators. This organization attends district and state meetings, and hosts most school events including homecoming, Veterans Day, Teacher Appreciation Week, Campus Clean up, Jay Pro Rodeo, 7th Grade Day, and class elections to name a few.
To join the SGA, you must first become an elected class officer.
Class Officer Requirements to Run:
*3.0 or higher GPA
*No more than 15 absences in any single class period
*No Behavioral Referrals for the year
*Completed application turned in ,on time, with 25 signatures
*Attendance at SGA Interest Meeting
*Class Schedule with at least 3 class periods on campus each day, including Tuesday 7:30am meeting availability
*Sign and abide by the SGA Code of Ethics & Constitution requirements.
(Note: 7th and 8th Grade Class officers are NOT in SGA. Must be in 9th-12th grade to participate)
